W zasadzie nic wiecej juz nie jest potrzebne. Od tej chwili mozna cieszyć się patrząc z własnego balkonu na wschody i zachody. Ale niektórym to nie wystarcza. Trzeba zabłysnąć przed sąsiadami, więc dalej do roboty. Co by tu jeszcze, co by tu jeszcze?
Bardzo możliwe. Specjalnie bym się nie zdziwił. Jak często można wprowadzac przełomowe rozwiązaniaCzy Garminowi brakuje pomysłów

TomTom has its IQ Routes, Navteq calls it Traffic Patterns. Both systems makes sure historical data about inhibitory road factors are added to route calculations. All this is done in an effort to predict the actual arrival time more accurately.
For map supplier Navteq, the newly announced Traffic Patterns is their first European traffic product. Germany was chosen as the starting country, and more than 170,000 kilometres of the busiest German roads were surveyed to see what the actual driving speeds were. The system adds historical data like the time of day and day of the week to the equation. All this should make sure developers can build systems which are capable of advising the most ideal route, where road blocks are avoided as much as possible and the predicted arrival time is as realistic as possible.
"The ability to see patterns in traffic creates opportunities for application developers to offer enhanced routing features for end users of navigation products without adding wireless communications capabilities. For example, if you know over the past several years a particular segment of road is typically slow between 9 and 10 am, you can begin to predict what might happen tomorrow. By knowing the pattern, you can suggest alternate driving routes much more confidently," said Howard Hayes, Vice President of Dynamic Content. "By matching the data to location markers on our map and driving thousands of miles of roads to test for accuracy, Navteq Traffic Patterns stands out from the crowd," added Hayes.
Navteq Traffic Patterns is already used currently in the US, where it covers approximately 1.2 million kilometres of roads in 48 states. Germany will be the first country in Europe to receive coverage. After Germany, the UK will be next. Other countries will follow.
