Ja również muszę polecić PouchX'a. Zacząłem poszukiwania swojej pierwszej echosondy no i szczęśliwie trafiłem do PouchX'a. Otrzymałem dokładnie to czego potrzebowałem w bardzo dobrej cenia i dodatkowo bezcennymi poradami Bardzo dobry kontak i jeszcze szybsza wysyłka no i wgrane najlepsze mapy gps. Następnym razem jak coś będę zmieniał to wiem gdzie szukać.

Hi PouchX.
I just found this forum after a long long search online.
I have an eTrex Vista C GPS with the week rollover problem. It is showing the wrong date, shifted 1024 weeks.
As far as I know, garmin only released fixes for Vista Cx and HcX models, but not for the C.
On Perry's website, there are a lot of GPS chipset firmwares availabel for download.
Do you know exactly what type of GPS chipset is used on Vista C?
Or have a fixed firmware image or .rgn file that can be uploaded?

That link is for the Vista Cx.
Mine is C.
Don't know if they have the same chipset?
Webupdater doesn't offer any additional updates except the v2.70 software that is already installed on my device.

Write to Garmin service, provide the type of device, they should send you the appropriate link to update your device.

No point, they won't help.

"I'm sorry, there are no additional updates for your eTrex Vista C. Version 2.70 released on 5/2/2007 was the last update released for your Vista C.

You can change the time zone to show the proper time and use it with the wrong date showing. Everything else should work normally other than having the wrong date.

as far as I know, the service provider has experience in changing the date in older devices.

Finally it's fixed.
On that javawa link you've posted, I read that the guy fixed all of his units with GPSBabel. It was a recent post.
So I thought I'll give it another try, because GPSBable always gave me errors that time protocol is not supported or something.
Now I've downloaded the latest version, and it transferred the date successfully to my Vista C.
I know it is probably a temporary fix, but good to know that it can be done whenever this happens.

The current date should remain until Fv is updated (which is unlikely)
or device reset.
